 Voice Workshop Poster

“WORLD SINGING SPACE” please register your interest by emailing helenwebb@mac.com)

Voice workshop exploring basic technique to improve your singing voice and general well-being through World Music from many cultures, Faiths and traditions. Group singing, improvisation, harmony singing, breath work, confidence.

This voice workshop includes chants and songs from different faiths and cultures including my home, Ireland. It is a very inclusive workshop offering simple songs and chants in unison, rounds or harmony.  Anyone at any vocal level can participate.  Some chants are calming and meditational, particularly those from Buddhist and Hindu traditions, some songs are very energising and rythmical, particularly those from Africa and Latin America.  Some reach your soul and raise your spirits such as those from Ireland. This is a great workshop for inclusion, as many faiths and cultures are represented and songs in original languages, including Irish Gaelic, are easily harmonised, so very satisfying and affirming, giving participants a sense of achievement and a great energy uplift!

Method used at Singing Lessons Galway Beginners Advanced

I enjoy teaching singing students from beginner level to top professional standard at Singing Lessons Galway Beginners Advanced.  My method can provide amazing proof of continual improvement in students who do the practical work I advise.  You can improve your range, your pitching, your power and your control. Don’t take my word for it, come along for a thirty minute assessment lesson for only 20 euros. You will be as surprised as most of my students at the effect on your voice after a few simple tips and exercises.

Each student receives my individual attention and can focus on the points I highlight in the assessment lesson. These points are important in improving your individual and unique voice.  This initial assessment consists of a thirty minute session with me where the student tries three or four exercises from the method I use. This simple and powerful method was created and developed over many years by my mother Joann Creed AGSM.  She named the method The Creed Method, and many singers have benefitted from it throughout her forty years of teaching experience.

End Bad Vocal Habits at Singing Lessons Galway Beginners Advanced

Singing Lessons Galway Beginners Advanced promotes healthy vocal development for all singers.  This is especially important for those who sing for more than a few minutes a week.  More than a few minutes of singing a week without proper guidance and good vocal habits can lead to bad habits that persist.  This can mean anything from bad posture to restricted breathing. Over a period of time bad habits can lead to damaging the vocal chords . Don’t let your talented teenager form bad vocal habits through singing along to pop songs without proper guidance. Attempting a song in the school musical in either too high or too low a key can be damaging to a young voice.  Singing lessons for kids will really help them to form good vocal habits for the future.

Improve with Singing Lessons Galway Beginner Advanced

You can improve your sound, even if you have experienced some difficulties with your voice.  Age is not a barrier to improvement with good training.  Galway Singing Lessons can give you great advice about moving forward positively and forming lasting, good vocal habits.

Introduction and Assessment Lesson at Singing lessons Galway Beginners Advanced

Your initial assessment lesson will consist of thirty minutes of simple exercises. Also if you’d like to sing a song of your choice, that’s great.  I will be able to assess your voice by listening to you repeat some specially devised analytical exercises.  I will also be observing your posture and breathing while you are singing. You will learn a great deal about your voice and the way you can optimise your vocal performance with less strain, less tension and less stress.  You will learn better use of your lungs and ribcage and  you will achieve a more satisfying sound by using your voice in the best possible way.
